What it means
A drift is a low place where a stream crosses the road instead of going under a bridge. After rain the water can rise quickly, and the surface can wash away.
What to do
Slow down and check how deep the water is before you cross. Stay out if it's running fast or too deep to be safe.
How to read warning signs
Warning signs are red-bordered triangles pointing up. They don't order you to do anything: they tell you what's coming so you can slow down and get ready.
More warning signs
