What it means
The road crosses a railway at a level crossing fitted with barriers.
What to do
Stop when the barriers are down or the lights are flashing. Wait until the barriers are fully up and it's safe before you cross.
How to read warning signs
Warning signs are red-bordered triangles pointing up. They don't order you to do anything: they tell you what's coming so you can slow down and get ready.
More warning signs
- Rail crossing without barrier
- Bend left
- Bend right
- Successive bends to the left
- Successive bends to the right
- Steep descent ahead
