What it means
Usually fixed to a traffic island or the start of a central divider, showing which side traffic must pass on.
What to do
Go past the obstacle or island on your left side. Never go to the right of this sign or island.
How to read mandatory signs
Mandatory signs are blue circles, and they tell you what you must do. If you see a blue disc, it's an order rather than a suggestion.
More mandatory signs

- Compulsory pedestrian foot path
- Compulsory track for cattle
- Compulsory minimum speed
- End of compulsory minimum speed
