What it means
Traffic is about to run in both directions, often where a one-way section or a dual carriageway ends.
What to do
You're moving onto a road with traffic both ways. Keep left, look out for oncoming vehicles, and stay on your side of the centre line.
How to read warning signs
Warning signs are red-bordered triangles pointing up. They don't order you to do anything: they tell you what's coming so you can slow down and get ready.
More warning signs
- Hazard ahead
- Road junction ahead
- Junction ahead: stop or give way
- Junction ahead with road entering from right
- Junction ahead with acceleration lane from right
- Roundabout ahead
