What it means
You'll see this where bicycles would be at risk from fast traffic, such as on a busy highway.
What to do
Bicycles may not go past here. Cyclists must get off and find another route.
How to read prohibitory signs
Prohibitory signs are mostly circles with a red ring, and they tell you what you must not do or set a limit you must keep. They're the opposite of the blue circles, which tell you what you must do.
More prohibitory signs
- No entry for pedestrians
- No entry for animal drawn vehicles
- No entry to all hand carts
- No entry for farm vehicles
- No entry for heavy commercial vehicles
- No entry for power driven vehicles
